Fencing is for everyone, come fence yourself silly!
Gotvik invites anyone and everyone to come join us in our very own fencing camp. Anyone can fence and if you are anyone then you are welcome to come fence with us! It does not matter if you have never tried before, if you are a beginner, an experienced fencer or a master. If you feel silly when holding a sword then all the better because this is a silly fencing camp! There will be a competition for silliest parrying device and the winner gets a prize!
If you have never tried fencing before or are new to fencing, there will be loaner gear available.
If you are an experienced fencer, there will be classes to make you an even more experienced fencer!
If you are a master there will be good fencers to challenge and the chance to guide your fellow fencers to become masters themselves in the future!
If you are anyone who likes to have fun – there will be lots of fun to be had!
So bring your silliest parrying device, put on your fencing gear or loan it when you get here! Let´s fence ourselves silly!

Site opens at 1700 Friday and closes at 11.30 Sunday.
There will be a light dinner Friday evening,
Breakfast, lunch and dinner wil be served during Saturday,
Breakfast Sunday morning

Whole weekend: 479 kr
Day pass: 379 kr
Youth (10-16) whole weekend: 350 kr
Youth (10-16) daypass: 250 kr

No banquett: -50 kr

Rävlanda föreningsgård is a large one-story building with a large hall suitable for fencing, court and dinner serving. There are several more rooms suitable for crash space and a large kitchen.
There is a cellar with two showers and several more rooms but beauce of the pricing we only have access to the showers.

Fencing related
I have a dream of making fencing the best experience for spectators in the SCA!
During Gotvik´s Silly fencing camp there will be an elevated platform for the audience to watch all fencing activites. There will be a marked walking path to get in and out to the spectator´s platform without interfering with the fencing activites. There will be missions for the spectator´s to elect the best looking fencer, the most beautiful death and and the most noble fencer. I will also make sure that marshalls include the spectators and make sure that they allways know what is going on and what to expect from the activites in front of them.
Things not fencing related
The event site is pretty big. The fencing will be in the main hall. There are several spaces in other parts of the building where you can hang out if you don´t want to be in the main hall. There will be a marked walking path to get in and out without interfering with the fencing activities. This means that you can get as much or as little fencing exeperience as you want without having to wait for an activity to stop or otherwise time your movements.
